You’re probably already familiar with this old cliche: “you’ll never know what you can achieve until you try.”
It’s definitely a good motivational boost, and for good reason.
It’s a simple principle, and when you consider that, most things that aren’t already pretty easy can be made easy and achievable by working towards them.
For example, if you always wanted to run a marathon, you probably could do it right now.
But we’re going to focus on a different kind of motivational boost in this article.
We’re talking about trying new things, and getting the experience of failing to succeed at something.
That is, trying to do the “impossible” or “crazy” things that will change your life forever.
Whether you know it or not, these lessons may be the best way to learn what you should be doing with your life and career.
If you’re on a personal development journey, this will help you realize that some of the things you spend the majority of your time working towards are not worth your time and effort.
You may think that you want to be rich or you want to have a successful business o win an award or get a promotion… but if you’re doing it all wrong, you’re already doing the impossible!
By trying things that are “impossible”, you’re learning how NOT to do them.
So here are 14 reasons you should never quit trying until you succeed:
1.You Have A Natural Curiosity.
You’re a creative person with a desire to learn new things and expand your knowledge.
Whether it’s through reading, watching movies, or trying new things, you’re probably always searching for the next great thing in life.
That’s how we see it at My Life Experiment, and this is why we want to create content on education, entrepreneurship, and personal development for the benefit of you and everyone else.
It seems natural that your mind is constantly exploring the potential of your own existence, and what makes you happy.
You want to know what works, you want to be better, and that’s what’s going to help you the most.
That’s why we create new content every day, because we love it, and we want to share what we learn with others.
If you want to build a great business or have an abundance of life skills, you’ll never know it unless you try.
2. You Get Addicted To Learning And Expanding.
It’s a blessing to be a creative and curious person because this means that you constantly learn.
If you don’t want to learn new things, you’ll end up wasting a lot of time that could be better used for other things.
So, by trying new things, you’re actively expanding your knowledge.
By this, we mean anything from finding new ways to improve your life, to taking up new hobbies that interest you.
Of course, the more you learn, the more you can do, and the more you can do, the more you want to know.
3. You Learn From Mistakes.
I like to say that,
“failing at life is better than not trying at all.”
This may sound harsh, but it’s the truth. When you try, you’re already failing to some degree.
But as the saying goes, failure is inevitable.
So, what you can do when you make a mistake is learn from it.
You’ll likely fail a lot of times, but eventually, you’ll learn from it. As a result, you’ll try things that are more suitable for the task.
In other words, you’ll keep failing and you’ll keep learning until you get it right.
4. You Build A Tolerance For Difficulty.
Getting into the habit of trying things is one thing, but you also have to know how to do the things you’re trying.
This can be tricky, especially if you haven’t done anything like this before.
But the more you fail at something, the easier it’ll be for you to succeed the next time around. So, it teaches you how to conquer difficult situations and become successful.
At some point, you’ll come to enjoy the difficulty that comes with trying new things. And even if you don’t, you’ll still see a clear path to getting better.
After all, that’s what learning is, so you can always improve and move forward.
5. You Realize You Don’t Have All The Answers
The more you learn, the more you realize that you don’t have all the answers.
In fact, you don’t know everything that there is to know. It’s almost embarrassing.
So, the more you learn, the more of an idiot you’ll become.
But hey, you also become more intelligent.
So, instead of being ashamed of your ignorance, learn how to deal with it.
Because if you can’t come up with the answer, you need to admit that you don’t know it yet.
And don’t beat yourself up when you do this.
Instead, just ask your peers, mentors, or other people that you trust for advice.
6. You Learn How To Learn.
You’ll learn that you have to learn a lot of different skills. That’s the way that life is.
And you’ll learn how to acquire them. For example, by creating your own content, you’ll be able to learn how to write, how to make videos, how to market a product, how to set up a web store, and so much more.
So you’ll be able to learn new things, and that’s important to expand your life.
7. You Learn How To Work.
This is a big one. It’s all about the work you put into something, and how you work with others.
By working on a task alone, you won’t be as successful as you can be.
And not only that, but you’ll have to do it alone most of the time, which will lead you down the road to failure.
By learning how to work in a team or in a way that makes other people successful, you’ll get a leg up on everything.
And not only that, but you’ll be able to help others who need help.
So, if you want to accomplish big things in life, you’ll have to be able to work and work well with others.
8. You Get A Perspective Of What’s Important.
In the beginning, it’s easy to focus on the little things that you want to achieve.
After all, it’s hard to see the forest from the trees.
But if you don’t start realizing the big picture, you’ll always feel like you’re failing.
After all, you don’t want to work on anything that isn’t important to you.
So, by trying new things, you’ll start focusing on the things that matter in life.
Not only that, but you’ll stop caring about the petty details and you’ll start growing in your values.
As a result, you’ll finally feel like you’ve accomplished something important when you have.
9. You Get A Feel For What Works In Your Life.
The best way to learn how to manage your time, or to get something done well is to try.
What’s the point of learning how to be effective, or how to organize your time, if you don’t even try it?
Of course, it’s easy to say that, but sometimes it’s hard to put it into practice.
But if you want to change your life for the better, you’re going to have to put in the work to get it done.
After all, you’re doing this for yourself, so you have to understand what works and what doesn’t.
10. You Learn That The Impossible Doesn’t Exist.
I don’t mean that the impossible doesn’t exist, but rather that if you work towards something seemingly impossible, you may find yourself doing the impossible instead.
For example, if you think you can be a millionaire overnight, that might be true.
But unless you start investing in yourself, you might end up being a $4 million man overnight.
11. You’ll Learn To Build An Unstoppable Passion For Something.
By trying different things, you’ll start building a passion for something.
So, if you learn to build a passion for entrepreneurship, you’ll soon see that it’s something you enjoy doing.
And what’s more, you’ll start looking for ways to make a living from this passion.
That’s not to say that if you’re not passionate about something, it’s not important.
But passion is important when it comes to things like entrepreneurship.
It gives you the motivation to push through the hard times and it helps you become an unstoppable force.
12. You Grow As A Person.
If you’re constantly learning and trying new things, you’re constantly growing as a person.
So, if you want to have a great life, you’ll have to be able to build yourself up to be a better person.
Someone said;
"A great life begins from within you"
You have to be able to get better in every aspect of your life.
This means that not only do you have to become a better entrepreneur, but you also have to become a better man.
If you want to become a better person, you’ll need to start trying new things.
If you want to become a better entrepreneur, you’ll have to start practicing your communication skills and improving your time management skills.
The more you grow, the more you’ll have to learn and the more you’ll have to teach others.
This is a great process because it allows you to grow and become a better person.
13. You’ll Learn To Embrace The Unknown.
The truth is that you never know what will happen in the future. But if you never take risks, then you’ll never really grow and you’ll never truly become anything.
This is why the biggest lesson of all is to just embrace the unknown and not be afraid of it.
You don’t have to have everything worked out to take risks and learn new things.
You’re always learning, and that’s how you get better at life.
14. You’ll Start To Build A Better Life.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: every day, you’re building a life for yourself.
Your life isn’t perfect yet, but it’s better than it was the day before.
What I mean by that is that if you work on building something new each day, then each day, you’re building a better life for yourself.
That's how Rome was built, one brick after another, and this is how success is built, quitters don't win, and winners never quit.
"Push yourself daily until you succeed."

Conclusion
I think a lot of people have trouble being disciplined enough to persevere through an effort until it succeeds.
Most people won’t. And so they quit, and then never pick up the effort again.
The problem is that, if you quit, you’re never going to succeed, and, more importantly, you’re never going to have the satisfaction that comes from completing an activity successfully.
This is a terrible situation. I’m certainly not suggesting that you should continue until you succeed.
If you’ve tried a certain activity and it’s not working for you, it’s probably time to take a break and try something else.
That’s the point of the “try, try, and try again” idea, which is the foundation of perseverance: sometimes you just aren’t going to get it right the first time.
On the other hand, if you want to take up an activity, but can’t find the discipline to persevere, then I think you should at least try again.
You’ll know how you did when you eventually get through the activity, and you’ll have more confidence in yourself that you can succeed.
I believe this would be of immense help as you journey in life to accomplish feats.
